The dreams we wanted, but never received because of new circumstances and conditions hurts…and it’s okay to mourn the hurt.  It’s okay to mourn that loss.  The loss that you wanted your entire life, but now will never receive because of the new direction in your life.

It’s easy to take the unanswered prayers and disappointments in our lives and brush them under the rug so we don’t have to think about them.  But, you know what, friend, it’s okay to mourn our dreams that have died.  Looking at those dreams takes courage and resiliency.  When you look them in the face, head-on, and let them go, you will see God’s plan in your life and how everything has unfolded, although different from what you expected.  Your life is a beautiful story of its own that you never could have dreamed up for yourself.

Like every season, leaves fall off the trees, winter kills almost everything, and new beauty emerges in spring.   Look forward to your new spring (new dream).
