Day 59 / 100 Days to More ~

Just because someone is more talented than you, doesn’t diminish your own talent. Just because someone is stronger than you, doesn’t discount your own resilience. Just because someone is better able to support a friend in the way that they need sometimes, doesn’t mean you’re not helping them or that you’re not as good of a friend. Just because someone is better at their job than you are, doesn’t mean you’re not contributing to your workplace. That’s not to say we should all stop trying to ever improve or work on ourselves—rather, it’s a reminder that what each of us has to offer the world is valuable, and that value is inherent in its existence. What anyone else has to offer the world is unrelated.  You do not need to bring someone down to bring yourself up. Likewise, someone else going up does not indicate that you are going down. There is no world quota on goodness.

Despite how put together someone may seem on the outside, no one is perfect, and that’s okay. Whether you have a difficult time being social, talking on the phone, becoming independent, using your voice, entering a relationship, connecting with others, individuating from your family, or getting out of bed each morning to face the world — know that it’s okay. And know that despite your struggle, you are capable, you are talented, you are important, and you are enough.

Action: What do you love most about yourself?

Failures may be so hurtful and disappointing, knowing you did your best in everything. But it doesn’t mean life must end there. Stand up and live. Keep the confidence. Be strong and keep your faith by making the best out of it. For everything happens for a reason, a reason to teach you and correct you and a reason to bring the strength in you. You can start over again! Don’t even think about quitting now!

It’s easy to replay in your mind how things didn’t work; how much you lost; what you’re going through; and how angry you are. There’s no amount of conversation or magic that’s going to wipe the slate clean. You’re wasting valuable time and energy that could be used to regain a new normal, and start another version of your life. Even though you’re hurt, and you may be feeling down ~ stop kicking yourself! Face what has happened, and make the decision to start over again.

Action: What can you do today to start living for tomorrow?

Day 57 / 100 Days to More ~

Forgive yourself and forgive others…so you can live in every dimension of your life. Practice forgiving those who have caused you pain, disappointment, or harmed you. Forgiveness is not for them. It’s for you. Forgiveness is not forgetting…it’s remembering without being full of anger or revenge, and allowing this to control you or your responses. When you forgive, you release the hold someone else’s behavior has on your mind, feelings, and actions. It allows you to free yourself from the attachments to people in your past or present that have imprisoned you, and kept you from having the life journey you were meant to live.

Give people you don’t know a fair chance. When you look at a person, any person, remember everyone has a story. Everyone has gone through something that has changed them, and forced them to grow. Every passing face on the street represents a story every bit as compelling and complicated as yours. We meet no ordinary people in our lives.   If you give someone a chance, you will know everyone has something amazing to offer. So appreciate the possibility of new relationships as you naturally let go of old ones that no longer work. Trust your judgment. Embrace new relationships, knowing that you are entering into unfamiliar territory. Be ready to learn, be ready for a challenge, and be ready to meet someone that might just change your life forever.

Action: When you let go, you get more.

Let go of those who are already gone.  The sad truth is that there are some people who will only be there for you as long as you have something they need. When you no longer serve a purpose to them, they will leave. The good news is, if you tough it out, you’ll eventually weed these people out of your life and be left with some great people you can count on.  We rarely lose friends and lovers, we just gradually figure out who our real ones are. So when people walk away from you, let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you. It doesn’t mean they are bad people; it just means that their part in your story is over.

When you find yourself cocooned in isolation and cannot find your way out of the darkness, remember that this is similar to the place where caterpillars go to grow their wings. Just because today is a terrible day doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be the best day of your life. You just got to get there.

If you hang out with chickens, you’re going to cluck and if you hang out with eagles, you’re going to fly.

Action: Do you plan to soar or settle in life?

Follow your heart and go after your dream! There will be people in your life that will tell you that you’re wasting your time. Ignore them. There are things that will happen that will catch you on the blind side and drop you to your knees. Pull yourself together and move past them. Above all, don’t take it personally. It’s called life. Be deliberate about setting up your day to win. Whatever you feed your mind in the first 30 minutes of the day, will impact the spirit of your day. Saturate yourself with positive words that fuel your energy and ignite your spirit. Your thoughts create your reality. Create an extraordinary life!

There is no person in the world capable of flawlessly handling every punch thrown at them. That’s not how we’re made. We’re made to get upset, sad, hurt, stumble and fall. Because that’s part of living – to face problems, learn, adapt, and solve them over the course of time. This is what ultimately molds us into the person we become.

Action: Every sinner can become a Saint, what life style are you choosing?
